We took a long weekend trip to Oregon to attend Lilli Burns and TJ Speelman's wedding!
As we were starting our journey, everything seemed to be going against us. Kevin was up coughing all night, and I asked about taking him to the emergency room, but he did not want to. Instead, we drove to Scottsbluff on Thursday morning (28th) to wait at the door of Quick Care so he could be seen as soon as they opened (7 am). He got seen then we got him breakfast at McDonald's and drove back to Kimball to the pharmacy (opened at 8:30). We got home, he finished packing and we took off. We drove to the interstate onramp that is located close to us, and it was closed! (no signs stating that it was until we got to it) so we had to backtrack and drive through town to the other on ramp. We got moving and had to make lots of stops (for Kevin) looking for a certain deodorant and for new shoes. Anyway, we didn't make it to Vale until @ 11:30 p.m. (I think)
Friday, we took Katie shopping for warmer clothes for the wedding, driving around town to see what has changed and took a drive to Harper to see where Hoss and his siblings go to school.
On Saturday we got up and started heading up to the wedding. We met up with Aunt Janet then Kim's family in Baker for an early lunch. We also stopped at a store called Grocery Outlet for me to grab a few snacks and as we were walking around looking at the different groceries, we noticed these bags of Banana Bread. They are shaped like bananas and must have a banana pudding filling (similar to a twinkie).
We headed up to the wedding venue, and they had everything looking great! Lots of work and talent were put into putting this all together. They had blankets for if people got cold.

Fun desserts! Instead of cake they had cupcakes, brookies, lemon bars, doughnuts, pies, rice Krispie treats, dipped pretzels, brownies, cookies and another dessert that I can't remember the name of.
Instead of cutting a cake they had this to cut a pie, which they didn't do while we were there.
A charcuterie table to snack on while waiting for the ceremony to start and for the time between the ceremony and dinner (while they were getting pictures taken). They had a huckleberry goat cheese that Kevin loved! We tried looking for some but didn't manage to find any. May have to order some online.
A tri-tip steak meal was catered by Brian Wolfe and here was the drink bar.
After dinner a dance was held. Grandpa Wayne was able to dance with most of his granddaughters.
Brady and Brianna came over on Sunday, and we learned a couple of new card games: Golf and Kings in the Corner.
We headed home on Monday morning. The ride was pretty good, but we did run into several wrecks. 2-3 of them before Burley, ID and another one in Utah. The ones in Idaho were within 5 miles of each other (I believe) and really slowed traffic down. The one in Utah, we showed up not long after it happened.
Poor Kevin was pretty miserable, breathing wise, the whole trip. In fact, he tried not to walk around or talk much as it would get him into a coughing fit. We didn't end up stopping to see Amber's family due to this.
We all had a good time and we really need to go this direction more often and not just for an event.
